Cobot gripper jaws & EOAT · Geelong, Melbourne & regional Victoria

Custom gripper jaws, designed to your part and printed locally.

Part-specific fingers and end-of-arm tooling for collaborative robots — Universal Robots arms with Robotiq 2F-85 / 2F-140 and OnRobot grippers. Modelled to your component, printed fast, no minimum order.

01 — When custom jaws are the answer

Standard fingertips can't hold every part. That's where these come in.

Adaptive grippers and off-the-shelf tips cover the easy pick-and-place jobs. Custom jaws earn their keep when the part is awkward, delicate, or keeps slipping.

A

Odd or complex part geometry

A component that standard flat or grooved tips can't locate or hold securely — jaws contoured to the exact part cradle it properly.

B

Slipping or marking parts

Rigid tips drop or scratch the workpiece. A PETG body with textured TPU grip pads holds firmly without marring the surface.

C

Low volumes and fast changeovers

Two to a few dozen jaws for one job — too small for an overseas EOAT supplier to prioritise, and too slow to wait on. Local and quick suits this.

02 — First article, then reorders

Priced the way tooling actually works

First article

Covers the engineering: measuring your part, modelling the jaw to the gripper's mounting interface, and test-fitting through a print-and-adjust cycle until it grips reliably.

Reorders

Once a design is proven, repeat sets are quick to produce. Grip pads and jaws are consumables — reorder the exact same part whenever you need more, at a production price.

Interfaces, materials and the details that matter

  • GRIPPERSRobotiq 2F-85, 2F-140 and Hand-E; OnRobot RG2 / RG6. Other brands on request.
  • MOUNTINGModelled to the gripper's fingertip interface and the ISO 9409-1 robot flange standard — built from the manufacturer's CAD, not guessed.
  • MATERIALSPETG jaw bodies for structure; flexible TPU pads for grip and compliance. Beyond that, it's machining or a metal part, not FDM.
  • DESIGNGrip surfaces set below the equilibrium line for stable holding, so jaws don't lose grip or eject the part mid-cycle.
  • YOU GETThe finished jaws, and — on request — the source model, so the design is documented and repeatable.

Questions we get about custom gripper jaws

Straight answers, drawn from how we actually quote and build these.

Q1

Which grippers and robots do you support?

We design jaws for Robotiq 2F-85, 2F-140 and Hand-E, and OnRobot RG2 / RG6, mounted on Universal Robots arms. Other gripper brands can be supported on request — send the model and we'll confirm fit.

Q2

What do you need from me to quote custom jaws?

Send the gripper model you're using and a photo or drawing of the part the jaws need to hold. That's enough for us to come back with an approach and a first-article price.

Q3

What materials are the jaws made from?

Jaw bodies are printed in PETG for structure, with flexible TPU pads bonded on for grip and compliance. Where a jaw set needs more strength, stiffness or heat resistance than PETG provides, the quote recommends machining or a metal part for that set — you get that answer before anything is made.

Q4

How does pricing work?

The first article covers the engineering — measuring the part, modelling the jaw to the gripper's mounting interface, and test-fitting until it grips reliably — and is quoted per job. Once the design is proven, reorders are produced at a per-set production rate.

Q5

Do I get the CAD model?

Yes, on request. Along with the finished jaws we can hand over the source model so the design is documented and repeatable for future reorders or tweaks.

Tell us the gripper and the part.

Send the gripper model and a photo or drawing of the part you need to handle. We'll come back with an approach, a price for the first article, and a reorder rate. Based in Geelong, serving Melbourne and regional Victoria.
